gloria steinem uses the term 'caste' in reference to sex and race.

yes, there is casteism in the us, and in every other society. this is why you'll never see the child of an investment banker marrying the child of a janitor. this is why even in allegedly class-less communist countries, the children of appartchiks are the ones who are making the millions. division of society into castes is a natural phenomenon.
