The Roman Catholic Church and Torture

A long-awaited conviction has been handed down against a Roman Catholic priest for his role in torture, during Argentina's 'Dirty War'.

It's funny how the Church campaigns against the state on behalf of minorities in India. But in countries where they are the rulers and the stakeholders, they'll do whatever it takes to retain power. None of that silly democracy and human rights stuff for them -- no, then it's time for raw brutality.

And where are our dear Indian Communists to speak out for their fellow Leftists in Latin America? They're nowhere to be found. A little lip-service for Fidel, but that's about it. They're no-shows. Even within the fraternity of communism, the greedy and treacherous Indian Communists are ever the weak links in the international socialist chain.
