Humans could marry robots within the century. And consummate those vows

Artificial intelligence researcher David Levy forecasts that the state of Massachusetts will be the first to legalize marriages with robots.
Be that as it may, I predict that if and when the technology becomes freely available - the practice will gain the most widespread acceptance in Mohammedan countries. There cannot be a better object to serve the utilities of obedience, submission and servility than a robot! On the positive side for us infidels,
there would be no health hazards of robots in burkas and the Islamic demographic explosion would be contained somewhat....
It would be interesting to get a feminist perspective on this.

sorry, karyakarta, but this advance has been anticipated in the koran and commentators (naturally). it defines a houri as a big-breasted, dark-eyed woman who doesn't do any of the following:

-- cry
-- spit
-- argue
-- urinate
-- defecate
-- menstruate
-- refuse sex
-- get pregnant
-- lose their virginity

actually, we don't need to wait for robots. such houris already exist. they are known as inflatable sex dolls.

or then again, 'houri' may just mean white raisins, 72 of them :-) dang, i'd like to see the look on abdul's face when he shows up in heaven as a suicide bomber and is presented with a packet of 72 white raisins for his trouble.
