The jihad in Southern Thailand is very similar to the jihad in Jammu & Kashmir.
Just replace Hindu with Buddhist, Pakistan with Malaysia and the situations are close to being indistinguishable. Thailand and other non-Muslim countries in South East Asia consider India as their mother country and have no love lost for the Chinese communists. With such historic, religious, civilisational links - surely, these countries are more reliable partners in any strategic Asian alliance compared to the Australians. At the very least, they do not export christist evangelicals to our territory. Thailand, incidentally is also a victim of christian proselytization like India.
